Some of them even bought a few varieties that were up for sale.
“The floral display stands are beautifully arranged and well-maintained. It’s not often that you get to see such rare varieties of flowers. I particularly liked the bird-shaped figure made from flowers. It’s all very informative and helpful,”says Mansi Thakur, a 46-year-old, homemaker.
While bouquet making and salad decoration competitions on the day gave people a perfect platform to show their creativity, 3-D rangolis put out in the main lawn giving a social message (save the girl child) attracted many. The cultural events going on throughout the day kept the visitors involved.
“It’s for the first time I saw such magnificent rangolis. The concept of 3-D rangolis is actually great, it’s the hard work of artists. I even got to pick some ideas of salad decoration that I can experiment with at home,” says Trishla Khare, a final year B.com student.
